The Hunt Ridge Montessori School was established in 1983.

Hunt Ridge, which has serviced Fairfield County since 1983 is affiliated with the Association Montessori International (AMI). AMI was founded in 1929 by Dr. Maria Montessori and the American headquarters are presently located in Houston, Texas. In addition to the baccalaureate degree, The Hunt Ridge Montessori teachers hold the AMI primary diploma, having completed a year of study at an AMI training center.
