Admission Process
We invite you to visit and see firsthand the beauty of a child’s world—alive with curiosity, independence, and discovery. In our thoughtfully prepared Montessori classrooms, children are given the freedom to choose meaningful work that matches their developmental stage. We welcome you to explore our classrooms and outdoor spaces, meet our staff and ask questions about curriculum, routines and school life. Families interested in becoming a part of the Hunt Ridge Montessori School will need to do the following:
Inquiry
Please contact us to begin the admission process. Our staff will respond promptly to guide you through the next steps. Our process is thoughtfully designed to be clear, straightforward, and supportive—so your family can feel confident at every step.
1
Observation
Our office will contact you with a date for your classroom observation which is intended for parents only. It is a time for a parent to quietly observe the children and teachers at work. This visit will last about an hour.
2
Application
Submit your completed application, along with the application fee. This allows us to begin learning more about your child and to partner with your family as you move forward in the admissions process.
3
Child’s Visit
The Head of School will meet with the prospective student and parent(s) in a classroom setting in order to make an informal assessment of your child’s interest in the Montessori materials and development.
4
Acceptance
We will inform you of acceptance within a week of your child’s visit and send out a Tuition Agreement to sign. Admission depends on the number of openings, the number of applications, and if we feel that Hunt Ridge Montessori School is a good fit for your child.
5
Registration
Parents must return the signed Tuition Agreement and pay the 10% tuition deposit within 10 days of receiving their acceptance.
