Gingerbread House Construction – Dec 12 @ 9:15 am

We invite all parents to join us for constructing Gingerbread Houses for the children. Bring your coffee and listen along to holiday music as we get messy in the gymnasium with frosting and graham crackers. No experience necessary! We will be constructing the houses for the children to then decorate with candy later the following day. Please sign up here!

Holiday Concert – Dec 20 @ 11:00 am

We are filled with hope for a peaceful year ahead! With that in mind, the children will prepare a few songs to share with their families on Wednesday, December 20th. Please mark your calendar! Parents are welcome to take their children following the concert after checking in with their child’s teacher.

Flu Vaccine Required…… Does your child have their Flu Vaccine?

The State of Connecticut requires each child under the age of 5 years old to be vaccinated for the flu. Please provide this documentation from your child’s doctor by Friday, December 15 in order for your child to join us on January 2, 2024 when we reopen after the winter break.

Lunch Boxes and Slippers

Most lunch boxes and slippers are machine washable. Please take the time to launder these items as necessary to help reduce germs in the school building. Please ask your teacher to send home your child’s slippers….perhaps on a Friday for washing over the weekend?! We’d be happy to help.

Cold Weather?

We will be taking the children outside each day for some fresh air (as long as the feels like temperature is 28 degrees or above). Please send your child to school with a hat and gloves! Once it begins to snow….don’t forget to send their boots and snow pants! We’ll take the time to get them “geared up” before we go outside. Please label all snow gear and place them in an open top bag. Their bag will go home each day so that you may wash and dry their wet/snowy items. Reuseable shopping bags are a great idea for this!

And…if it snows, we follow the Fairfield Public School decision. We will send an email alerting you or you may check the local radio stations, television: Channel 3, Channel 8 or Channel 12 news, or the direct phone line is:

*If Fairfield schools are DELAYED, we will open at 10:00 am.

**If Fairfield School are closed, we are closed.

Phonetic Readers

We restocked our Phonetic Readers at the beginning of the school year and the supply is getting low. Please check your bookshelves, backpacks and any other hiding places (maybe your back seat?) and return them to school so other children may have a chance to read them. Once we restock our library we will begin to send readers home again in the new year!

School will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024!!
