Parent Observation Day
A wonderful opportunity for you to observe your child at work in the classroom. Please arrive at your assigned time as indicated above. This event is for parents only! If you wouldn’t mind, please leave coats and handbags in your car. It will be “cozy” in the classroom and we’d like as much space as possible for children to use the Montessori materials.
Sibling Enrollment
We are so grateful to our families who have chosen to educate your child at The Hunt Ridge Montessori School. At this time, we wish to offer positions for the 2024-2025 school year to the siblings of our families. Applications for potential new students will go home in communication folders, please return sibling applications by Nov 13th. If you do not receive one, please ask the office.
Spread the Word
We are always in search of wonderful families like yours who have made the choice to educate their child in our Montessori environment. Therefore, if you introduce a new family to The Hunt Ridge Montessori School and they enroll for the 2024-2025 school year, please ask the family to mention your name and you will receive a $100 credit toward your current tuition.

Your child’s school photos should be available to view online. Please use the QR code to view your child’s photo.
Thanksgiving Holiday
We will have our annual Thanksgiving Feast for the children on Tuesday, Nov 21st. We will be serving turkey roll ups, corn muffins, cheese and crackers, fruit and vegetables to the children. If your child has a special diet that will not allow for consumption of those foods, please advise the office. There will be an opportunity for parents to help in the preparation of this event. If you are interested in coming in to bake an item for the celebration or help the children in creating their headdresses, a sign up will be available for you soon. We will also be looking for help with donating food items. All children will be dismissed at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, Nov 21st. School will be closed Nov 22nd - Nov 24th. We send our best wishes to everyone for a Happy Thanksgiving with family and friends!
Flu Immunization Requirement
The State of CT mandates: Children aged 6 months - 4 years are required to have the Flu Vaccine by the end of the year. Written confirmation from the doctor is due to our office by Dec 15th.
The Weather
Now that the cold weather is on its way, it will help us if your child's clothing is labeled. Also, the children are learning how to put their coats on by themselves and how to hang them up! Encourage them to do the same at home! It may take a bit more time, but it will help to know how to do it before the snow pants come along!! Snow??? Not yet, however, if the Fairfield Public Schools are closed we are closed, if there’s a delay, we are delayed 1 hour…..and will open at 10:00am. All the local radio stations and Channel 3, 8 and 12 will carry the information so stay tuned. Hopefully it will be a while before the snow arrives! To learn of school delays or cancellations you may dial: 203-255 TALK. An email from the Hunt Ridge office will also be sent to advise you of any changes in our school day.
